Managing VAT

What is the best way to manage VAT information? What are the best practices: should budget and costs be inputed with or without VAT? Either way, I would like to be able to analyse taxes applied to costs on a project. Thanks.

There is no explicit column for VAT. You can choose if you like to enter costs with or without VAT.
To analyse taxes on costs, you may consider export the data and do calculations in Excel or Numbers, etc.
To export:

filter or group the information as required
make sure to enable cost columns
export as Text (by File > Export > Text)

We thought about that a while ago, but then we realized how many different VAT solutions are existing on this small world. Sorry, but that is a whole software on its own…
