iOS Saving Custom Work Breakdown Views

I'm trying out the iOS Merlin and it appears the custom views I create are saved with the file but not to the account (so I can reuse on other schedule files). I can do this with the OS X version, but I also have an account for OS X and not for iOS (since I'm using the 30-day test). Is this a limitation of the test account, a limitation of the iOS version, or...? Thanks!

Raemahn By iOS do you mean you are using Merlin Project on the iPhone? Or could it be the iPad?
On an iPad, you can create custom views with Merlin Project. You cannot share them with other local files thought.
On an iPhone, you cannot create custom views. Those created by an iPad or Mac can get selected, whereby only the styles of the Gantt will be fully applied. The outline will try to use as much custom formatting as it can in its standard alternating rows style.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I am testing Merlin on the iPad. On OS X I've always been able to create a view and it is available across all of my projects, but on the iOS version (for iPad) it appears to only save that view to the current project. This may be a limitation of iOS, but it makes custom views less powerful if I have to recreate them for every project file I open. (I review files from other people [created in MS Project] on a weekly basis. I retain custom views for reviewing and sharing with leadership.)

Am I correct in understanding from your response that custom views are saved with the file itself and are not a preference that can be retained for all files?

Thanks for clarifying.
I've checked this with the developers. The option to share the custom view with other local projects was omitted at some point on the iPad. I was told to report this as an issue. So yes, custom views on the projects cannot be shared right now on the iPad, they are saved with the file itself.

To use them on other files, you could create a template of your current project (by calling (…) > Export > XML) and enable the option User interface configuration.

Now you can start a new project using this xml file, delete any activity rows you don't need, and have the custom views included.
